Chopsticks ^

119 5th Ave SW, Olympia

Date of visit: 4-28-07

What we had:
Bubble Tea (blueberry, peach, and honeydew)

We've had better bubble tea before. It wasn't cold enough, wasn't mixed thoroughly, tapioca balls were added to the blueberry when we asked for none, and the large size comes in regular Pepsi cups instead of the usual plastic ones. They were also out of many flavors.

I was at Chopsticks today, and they were no longer out of most flavors and had the large size cups again.

Service, on the other hand, hasn't improved. The girl who was supposed to be making my bubble tea made conversation with some skater friend while my spring rolls languished in their to-go box, instead of getting it made. She took longer making a creamy almond tea with bubbles than the good folks at the Lacey Bubble Tea Island usually take making almond milkshake with bubbles.

On the other hand, the tapioca bubbles at Chopsticks were nice and firm, which was nice.

(Try the spring rolls, you might like them! They're huge, in soft rice wraps.)
